Needless to say, I cancelled my entire appointment and will look elsewhere. I was informed those were for members only, and patrons visiting the spa just for the day were not welcome to use them. Lastly, I asked about other amenities within the spa – such as saunas/steam room. Im not sure why this information couldn’t have been presented up front, and saved me 20 minutes on the phone. I went through the entire process of setting up an account for both myself an my partner, and booking massages, before Jason informed me that actually, no one would be available to give facials that day. The gentleman I spoke with, Jason, seemed very unsure about service provided and general appointment scheduling practices. I stated from the beginning that I wanted to book a massage and facial for two. It felt as though my business wasn’t particularly important to them. I don’t mind holding until someone is available to speak with me, but once I am speaking with someone, to be repeatedly interrupted and placed on hold is frustrating. I called back and was placed on hold twice more during the duration of the call. When I called to make an appointment, I was placed on hold, which was fine, and then hung up on. Just had a really disappointing experience with Equinox –and I didn’t even make it as far as using the facilities themselves! I am not a member of the club, but was hoping to book massages and facials for myself and my boyfriend.
